Scott Crommentuyn is a registered Land Surveyor and Certified Engineering Surveyor. He is registered in New South Wales, Queensland, New Zealand and Norfolk Island, South Pacific. He is a member of the Institution of Surveyors (NSW) and the Country Surveyors Association (NSW).

Scott takes pride in all aspects of his work. He is well respected among both past and present work colleagues. Scott continues to adhere to OH&S issues and believes staff safety is paramount. Scott has a current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and is a fully qualified UAV (RPAS) Chief Pilot (MR25kg and FW7kg) since 2014.

Chris Abbott commenced his surveying career in 1981 undertaking a Bachelor of Surveying Degree at the University of Newcastle. Over the past 40 years, Chris has worked on many large-scale constructions, detail and cadastral (boundary) projects throughout NSW.

Chris has been for several years, an Examiner on the NSW Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI), specialising in cadastral (boundary) surveying. He is an employee of the University of Newcastle School Of Engineering working with and tutoring Surveying and Civil Engineering students.

In 2013, Chris was recognised for his efforts and presented with the 2013 Sir Thomas Ewing Award (North Coast Surveyor of the Year) and the 2013 NSW Professional of the Year.

“MACRO family”

Markus Guest is a fully qualified UAV (RPAS) Controller (MR25kg and FW7kg). He is MACRO’s primary Pilot and Survey Technician. Markus has helped pioneer early fixed-wing flights over extremely populated and difficult live Pacific Highway projects since 2015.

He is currently studying towards completing his Degree in Surveying. We are yet to see anyone land a fixed-wing UAV at their boots as well as he does. Under extreme site constraints and pressures, Markus remains cool, calm and dedicated to deliver the data.

Vern Pascoe is a Senior Cadastral/Engineering Surveyor based in the Northern Rivers and North Coast, New South Wales with over 35 years’ experience. Vern has a diploma in Surveying and has worked on numerous projects around the Northern Rivers and beyond.

Rick McElligott is an experienced Survey Technician based on the North Coast, New South Wales. Rick has a diverse background, operating various large plant, marine superstructure maintenance, environmental science and engineering surveying.

“I’m on it”.

Simon Bailey is our Senior Draftsman (Permanent Subcontractor). He completed a Diploma in Surveying in 2003 whilst working at Chris Abbott Surveying where he has worked since early 1999. Simon is a competent party leader and draftsman. Of note is his drafting (CAD) ability that has been favourably commented on by leading architects and engineers across Eastern Australia. Simon continues to set new benchmarks in his field by producing outstanding plans.

Lyn is an experienced office administrator. She is the face of the company that runs the reception, secretarial and general office keeping. She liaises with staff and clients ensuring the office runs smoothly by coordinating events, client correspondence and management.

“I’ll be in the office on Thursday”.

Scott is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, BAS preparation and manages the reporting of financial information for MACRO.

Wilkes is MACRO's Norfolk Island Survey Assistant. His interests are Surveying, fishing, Army Cadet Unit and running.
